| Job Description: |
The Bilingual Employment Services Specialist (BESS) plays an important role in marketing CPRF's services, developing internships, and building relationships with area employers. The BESS often serves as the primary person who does formal pre-employment training. The BESS also generates job leads and funnels leads from the Director and others to clients. The successful candidate is a self-starter, able to communicate with diverse audiences, and he/she is not intimidated by contact with senior managers of area companies, and works comfortable with a diverse population of clients. |
| Job Requirements |
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent 2-3 years experience in employment training with responsibilities specific to community building, workforce development, and/or community resident services. |
|
General knowledge and understanding of the needs of a low-income working population, as well as knowledge of available community resources. |
|
Excellent social/interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills; written and verbal. Good organizational skills. |
|
Ability to listen and observe. Ability to use tact and respect and maintain confidentiality. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Ability to work as a team player. |
|
Demonstrated proficiency with PC computer software at an intermediate level, including the Microsoft Office suite |
|
The incumbent must own reliable transportation as this position requires travel to area employers. |
|
Previous successful experience as a Job Developer is highly desirable |
|
Multicultural experience preferred; Bilingual required (Spanish-English). |
