Allstate Foundation Awards Grant to the Spanish American Merchants Association.

The Spanish American Merchants Association held it’s 13th Pasaporte Computer Training Program graduation at the New Haven Office this morning.

In addition the The Allstate Foundation represented by Veronica Airey-Wilson a City Councilwoman from the City of Hartford and Miledy Marmol-Cruz an Allstate Insurance Company agent presented a check for $24,000.00 to Angel Sierra, President of the Board of Directors, and Julio Mendoza Executive Director,  of the Spanish American Merchants Association.

“We are very pleased that the Allstate Foundation continues to be a partner with SAMA in providing services to small businesses and individuals who are looking to start a business” Mr. Mendoza said.  

The graduation ceremony for the 13th class to graduate from the Pasaporte Computer Training Program in New Haven included 21 indivduals, many of them who are small business owners and other are looking to start new businesses in the Greater New Haven area.

Joining the graduates to celebrate this occasion were  State Senators Toni Nathaniel Harp and Martin Looney, State Representative Juan Candelaria and several Aldermen from the City of New Haven.

The Pasaporte Computer Training Program in New Haven is supported by the Allstate Insurance Company, the New Alliance Foundation, Capital Workforce Partners and Empower New Haven.

La Fundacion de Allstate otorga fondos a La Asociacion Hispanoamericana de los Comerciantes

La Asociacion Hispanoamericana de Comerciantes mantuvo su decimotercera graduacion del programa de entrenamiento de computadora de Pasaporte QuickBooks en la oficina en New Haven esta mañana. 

Ademas la fundacion de Allstate representada por Veronica Airey-Wilson, Consejal de la ciudad de Hartford y Miledy Marmol-Cruz, Agente Exclusiva de la Compañía de Seguros de Allstate presentaron un cheque por la cantidad de $24,000 a el Señor Angel Sierra Presidente de la junta directiva y al Señor Julio Mendoza Director Ejecutivo de La Asociacion Hispanoamericana de Comerciantes. 

“Estamos muy contentos que la fundacion de Allstate continue apoyando a SAMA proporcionando servicios a los pequeños negocios e individuos que esten queriendo comenzar un negocio” dice el Señor Mendoza.

 La ceremonia de la graduacion numero decimotercero graduo a 21 estudiantes del programa de entrenamiento de computadora de Pasaporte QuickBooks. 

Muchos de ellos son dueños de pequeños negocios y otros estan mirando para comenzar nuevos negocios en la moyor area de New Haven.  Junto a los graduados para celebrar esta ocasión estuvieron los senadores estatales, Toni Nathaniel Harp y Martin Looney,  Representante Estatal Juan Candelaria y otros consejales de la Ciudad de New Haven.
