The Spanish American Merchants Association (SAMA) will host its annual golf tournament on Friday, August 28, 2009 at the Keney Golf Course, 280 Tower Aveue, Hartford, CT. We understand the current difficult economic time, but as a non-profit organization we are asking you for your support. This tournament is one of the two major fund raising events for our organization. Last year’s tournament was a total success and we need your assistance in order for this year’s event to be even more successful than last year. We are asking you to be SAMA’s Corporate Sponsor.
Income from this event will suport SAMA’s many programs which offer training, education technical assistance and marketing offered to minority and Latino - owned businesses throughout the region. These programs are critical in enabling these businesses to obtain the capital, language skills and resources necessary to expand their enterprises and grow in a competitive economy.
Since its founding in 1982, SAMA has accomplished many significant objectives. These include the reimaging, revitalization and marketing of Park Street, the creation of a revolving loan fund, the pruchase and operation of litter-vacs to ensure clean streets and expansion of technical assistance programs to help businesses thourghout Connecticut.
This year we want to increase our efforts and continue to provide these services to ever increasing businesses and entrepreneurs. We appeal to your generosity and support. Please lend your support as a sponsor, contributor, participant and/or a provider of in-kind services.
