CONSTRUCTION ACCOUNTING TRAINING PROGRAM
On Friday October 17, 2008, the Spanish American Merchants Association celebrated the third graduation class from the Construction Accounting Training Program.
The training program that is sponsored by the Business Resource Center in Hartford and Capital Workforce Partners graduated ten students all who are currently in the construction trades.
Joining the graduating students and their guest for the ceremonies was Hartford Mayor Eddie Perez, who congratulated the students and offered the services of the City of Hartford as they advance their businesses.
Also attending and congratulating the students were Sam Hamilton of the Hartford Economic Development Corporation, Cesar Mejia, Executive Director, Minority Construction Council and Kim Hawkins, Director, Business Resource Center.
And, finally a first for the Spanish American Merchants Association, during the graduation ceremonies one of the students actually proposed to his fiancée and she said yes.
