ALLSTATE FOUNDATION: awards a grants of $25,000 to the Spanish American merchants Association (SAMA).
HARTFORD….December, 2007. The Allstate Foundation has awarded a grant of $25,000.00 to the Spanish American Merchants Association (SAMA) for its small business training programs. This grant will be used to support SAMA’s Empresario Latino Development Center, and will specifically support the Passport Computer Training Program in New Haven. These funds will be used to renovate the computer classroom located at SAMA’s office in New Haven office.
A SAMA spoke person said “that the Allstate Foundation has been supporting SAMA and it’s programs for the past four years and we appreciate their continued support to our organization and to our community. SAMA will continue to our work in the community and we know that the Allstate Foundation will be here with us for many years to come”.
The Allstate Foundation continues believe in our organization but most importantly is that they believe in our community. The need for financial and technological knowledge is essential and we want to continue making changes for the economic development of small businesses .
One important aspect of this sponsorship is that SAMA will continue to provide this training free of charge to all the participants. Now that we will have a new computer lab we want to extend an invitation to all small businesses, our other partners, community organization and government official to celebrate with us at a press conference that will be held once the New Haven computer lab is renovated in March 2008. This announcement will be posted in our website. We encourage you to continue to visit our website for future events, information and invitations.
