ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR FOUNDATION AWARDS A GRANT TO SAMA
HARTFORD, December 12, 2007. The Enterprise Corporation today presented the Spanish American Merchants Association (SAMA) a grant of $2,500.00 for one of it’s training programs. This grant will be used is to support SAMA’s Empresario Latino Development Center, and will be used to support the Food License Training Program. These funds will be used to renovate the kitchen in the conference room at the Hartford Office.
Mr. Kevin Kolstad, Operations Manager for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, stated: “On behalf of Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Hartford and the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation, we are pleased provide a gift of $2,500 to the Spanish American Merchants Association in the Hartford area. This donation reflects the caring and commitment our employees and our company have for this community. Enterprise has 10 locations in this area, placing us on a first-name basis with many of the people who call these neighborhoods home. We realize we owe our success to the support and good will of the people who live in these communities and who do business with us. That’s why we are committed to involving ourselves in the support of local worthwhile causes, and this donation will support the training of Food Life”

Mr. Angel Sierra, President of SAMA stressed: “It is a pleasure to welcome Enterprise aboard. We are very fortunate that this company supports our programs and believes in our organization, but most importantly is that they believe in our community. This partnership between SAMA and Enterprise will be every strong and together we will be able to continue with our work and commitments”.
Ana Sanchez-Adorno, SAMA’s Training Director explains: “The trainings offered under this program are needed by all those business owners that want to provide a safer food product to their clients. The Food License Training is very important in our community because SAMA is the first and the only agency that provides this training in Spanish. One of the important aspects of this sponsorship is that we can provide this training with better tools to the participants. Now that we will have a new kitchen training facility, we want to extend an invitation to all food business operator to come to SAMA and take advantage of the opportunity to take this training for their benefit and the benefit of their clients’ as well.”
